Strut that Dress! Girl’s Night Out.

It has been a rather busy week. With my girls being home from school and consequently trying to meet their seemingly incessant demands, participating in one activity after another, and still having to attend work. Hectic! I am so glad for the weekend.  How was your week? I hope it was not as crazy as mine and if it was, I hope it was at least exciting. Balancing motherhood and work can be an arduous task — I am sure most of you can relate. That being said, we are up to the task and the results are usually rewarding, so let’s hang in there.

Now it’s time to relax with my girlfriends. Why not? I think I deserve to have some fun too. I enjoy going out with my girls. If you seldom go out with your girlfriends, I must tell you that you are missing out a lot and on some amazing and priceless moments. Life itself is busy and often fast paced, our jobs, families and daily commitments frequently keep us away from the desirable social gatherings with our friends. Ladies, I urge you to make Girls’ Night Out a necessity in your life.  It’s okay to leave the boys at home once in a while. Trust me they crave for you more when they know you are going out without them. They even get jealous, LOL.  Regrettably, it had been a while since I had a night out with my girlfriends, so when the time came, I was so excited to leave home and meet up with them.  When planning a night out, we look forward to the fun factor of the prospective environment and catching up over some delicious bites and damn good killer cocktails. Trust me it’s always fabulous. The challenging part is figuring out where to go. The event planning role falls on me most of the time. I get the restaurant, notify the girls, and off we go. Yay!!

I couldn’t agree more to the generally held belief that women dress for one another. Ladies, we know that we pay huge attention to clothes and accessories, so picking out a nice catching outfit for Girls’ Night Out is extremely important. Women feel good when they look good. It’s all about women empowering one another through fashion and style.

I have been having fun moments with my tops and skirts lately, but today I decided to share a different silhouette. You might have seen me mostly in casual outfits, but this dazzling figure-hugging silhouette is sexy, elegant and is a perfect pick for the occasion. I bought it back in the day, on sale, at the Holt Renfrew store. I love this dress because my body felt very comfortable in it. Since I like to keep my look clean and minimal, I finished it off with a pair of blue heeled pumps from Christian Louboutin. I felt this pair of shoes kept my legs looking tall and exotic. In case you haven’t caught on by now, I crave for a monochromatic look most of the time. Here it’s again, LOL.  I accessorized the outfit with a blue clutch making the entire outfit look effortless for a Girls’ Night Out. I would love to hear from you how you would dress for a night out with your friends.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!
