SPRING HAS SPRUNG!! Own your look.
Spring is finally here and I couldn’t be more excited. Needless to say, I am looking forward to this more pleasant season, and more importantly, to Old Man Winter’s long journey to the land of Far Far Away. LOL. How about you?
A new season means a new wardrobe, to most people, but it doesn’t have to be. With a little bit of creativity we can build a spring wardrobe from what we already have. The goal is to transit slowly into spring without having to change your entire wardrobes, or break the bank. Ladies, before going crazy with shopping ideas and plans, it is always a good idea to take a quick inventory of your current wardrobe. You might be pleasantly surprised at what is lurking beneath the surface waiting to be discovered.
An important thing to always bear in mind during spring is that the weather fluctuates, and one of the keys to a perfect spring style is ditching your heavier winter fabric, and embracing those light cotton or linen fabrics tucked away in your wardrobe. Dressing up daily in spring can be both fun and frustrating due to this unpredictable weather, and some of us might either not have the time, or make it a priority, to reorganize our wardrobe. Hopefully, you can learn a thing or two here about in-between seasonal wears to help with a smooth transition from winter to spring, to create that effortless look we all adore.
Burgundy and grey isn’t a color combination that I would normally have given consideration, but that changed when I saw my daughter walk into her photo shoot setting, and I was blown away with this amazing combination. I recall gasping in surprise, thinking what an interesting but rare color combination. I couldn’t wait to share this with you, and with her permission, I am posting a few of her birthday pictures. Burgundy is a safe color to play with in spring, and pairing it with lighter shades will look chic and trendy. Light shades such as, tan, peach, grey and white, are the best colors to pair with burgundy this spring. Ladies, don’t be afraid to play around with colors and textures this spring, and remember that as long as it looks great on you, and the texture is perfect for the weather condition, then it makes you a winner.
Now, there are those of us who like to show our legs in spring, my advice is, wear tall boots to help with the weather swing. A mini dress with a combination of tall boots is ideal for spring and don’t forget to add a Knee-Length sweater or trench coat for any weather surprises. Trenches are known for their elegance and chic look, and they never go out of style. Another secret to a successful spring wardrobe is to separate your blazers and sweaters from your dresses. This makes it easier and quicker for some creativity when picking an outfit.
